| Cong calls Badal helpless CM

Chandigarh, Feb 8 /--/ Congress today termed chief minister Parkash Singh Badal as a helpless man who himself admits that the officers and even jathedars do not obey his orders.
PCC chief Mohinder Singh Kay Pee said the people of Punjab do not need such a government and the chief minister should himself leave the field for someone who could deliver.
Mr Badal is a helpless man who himself admits that the officers and even jathedars do not obey his orders, he alleged. "As is evident from the recent happenings, the government is directionless and the partners in power are busy showing down each other," he said in a statement here.
Kay Pee alleged that Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) is busy in eroding the urban base of BJP which also wants to downplay the coalition partner in return.
He alleged that instead of mobilising genuine resources for public exchequer the government has resorted to imposing additional surcharge on petrol and diesel.
Recently, the chief minister had said in Amritsar that officers and jathedars were not co-opearating with the government's orders. (PTI)
