| Snatchers held

New Delhi, Feb 8 /--/ Police today claimed to have cracked a gang of chain snatchers and solved at least 17 cases with the arrest of three persons, including a jeweller. Rajiv (23), Jitender (22) and Subhash (22), the jeweller, were caught on Sunday from near Metro Station in Pratap Nagar and a stolen motorcycle and three snatched gold chains were allegedly recovered from them. The gang, police claimed, confessed its involvement in 17 cases of snatching and thefts in the recent past.
Subhash allegedly used to buy jewellery from Rajiv at 70 per cent of the actual price and sell it further for making a profit, police said.
