NDA in Bihar to break before Assembly poll: Paswan
Patna, Feb 8 /--/ The NDA would break in Bihar before the Assembly elections due in October, LJP president Ram Vilas Paswan predicted here today. Indications regarding breakup of JD (U) and BJP became evident with the resignation of Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh from the post of state JD (U) president and criticising Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for behaving as a dictator, Mr Paswan told reporters.   As the leaders would not like to ride the sinking boat of NDA in Bihar, the RJD-LJP alliance would sweep the polls and form the government with a two-third majority, he said. The Bihar government would meet the same fate as that of the erstwhile NDA ministry at the Centre following its India shining campaign, The LJP chief said adding that the state government was also claiming that 'Bihar is shining'.   On the state achieving a growth rate of 11.03 during the past four year, he claimed this had become possible due to fudging of figures and providing 'false' data to the Central Statistical Organisation (CSO). How can the state GDP could grow when no investments had been made by top industrialists like Ratan Tata, Sunil Mittal, Anand Mahindra and others who had promised to invest in Bihar, he asked. To a question, Mr Paswan said he praised AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi for taking on the might of Shiv Sena and MNS in their own backyard. However, the praise would not affect the RJD-LJP alliance in Bihar, he said. (PTI)
